Message a 741 op-amp, but I have to rebuild my engine first :-(.
And as I can get a used SAFC-2 for 70 euros ($60), I'm hesitating, LOL.

When you average the 2 signals, since they are almost the same value (or you really have an issue in your dual intake or compressors), then the average voltage gives approximatively the average flow/2.

If the 2 signals are very different, or if you add them, so there's no longer a linear formula between the voltages and the total flow, so you need an AFC which converts each MAF Voltage in flow, and adds/averages the flows, then reverts this value in voltage.
